6 Miles

It doesn’t seem like much at all. They say 6 is the number of mankind. Three of them together ain’t so good. But three seems to be a good number.

One for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Ghost. And all three of those are one. They call it the Trinity.

The degree of difficulty today wasn’t that great. We climbed about 1100 feet above sea level. Feet hurt but that just seems like par for the course, the back is screaming. Next time I decide on some grand hiking pilgrimage maybe Brad Young from Coastal Chiropractic in Shalimar Fl can join me.

It’s beautiful weather. Cool and sunny make for good hiking weather. But then I do realize that I am NOT a hiker. I’m just doing this. Only about 400 miles to go.

At the peak of the tallest two mountains there was a small chapel. We stopped and prayed. They were just coming out of service. The pastor had someone stamp our passports. The folks wanted us to stay and eat. We thanked them but had to decline. A 1000 feet up means a 1000 feet down.

At this rate of speed we may not be back before July.

It’s not about speed. It’s about the journey. Life is a Camino. Life is a journey. I’m gonna take a nap. Tomorrow is coming on strong. If y’all think about it pray for our bodies.

What was it Danny Glover’s character says in Lethal Weapon, “I’m too old for this…”

Buen Camino
